My mom lives near this wildflower garden, one of my favorite little places in town. For months I’ve asked her “Have the wildflowers bloomed yet?” “Not yet.” She kept replying. “It’s not hot enough.”
Wildflowers grow from the heat of the summer, and we too grow from heat. We can’t expect to live a sheltered life with no hardships and still grow to be strong and beautiful. Beauty isn’t just about your appearance; beauty is about strength. Wildflowers remind me beautiful things grow in the wild, in the heat, in rather unpleasant conditions. Wildflowers remind me there’s joy to be had in all circumstances. Wildflowers remind me it’s all going to be ok.
