The Gift of Joy: What the Wildflowers Taught Me

“Like wildflowers, we must allow ourselves to grow in all the places people never thought we would.” E.V. Rogina

Wildflowers are difficult plants to tame. These stubborn little flowers continue to spread joy even in the most unlikely circumstances. We often will see them growing on the side of the highway or even through cracks of concrete. The wildflower doesn’t let its circumstance dictate whether or not it will blossom. We have to learn to be resilient, standing firmly planted in our purpose, choosing to bring glory to God on the good days and bad days alike. This is what the wildflowers taught me.

I hope the wildflowers inspire you this season. No matter how many times they’re cut down, mowed over, or trampled on, they always come back because God created them with purpose. They refuse to stop existing, and they refuse to stop spreading joy. Dare to be a wildflower; dare to never stop being who God created you to be.
