What is it that makes life beautiful? It’s not only the beautiful things or even the beautiful people that color our lives, but rather, what we have chosen to create from the mess thrown at us.

A lot has been thrown at me in 2024; I’ve faced trials I never imagined I would, but I won’t stop glorifying God in all that I do. I’ve chosen to take what’s been thrown at me and create something beautiful with it. There’s something about that which makes me feel very powerful in my weakness.

None of us are exempt. Life will inevitably throw paint at us at some point. We can sit back and let the paint fall where it falls, or we can take it and make something beautiful out of it. What will you choose?

On this day, I chose to make florals with my fingertips. At first, I laughed a bit at the mess I had made. The thing about finger painting is it rarely looks good in the beginning stages, but if you keep painting, you’ll eventually end up with something quite beautiful. Life is like that a lot of the time. You very well may start out with a mess, but if you just keep going, it all gets better.
