Daniel and I sat down to build our second Lego project of the year. As we began putting the pieces of our bouquet together, we noticed something. The flowers were in different stages of development, some fully bloomed, others partially bloomed, and even some buds. This is actually what made the picture on the box so captivating. I thought back to all the bouquets I’ve built in my past. I realized, it wasn’t merely the beautiful flowers that made the bouquet so beautiful but the variety—whether it be color, type of flower, or stage of development.

I’ve always called myself a Christian, but there was an undeniable moment when God picked me up out of the dirt and placed me in His kingdom. He waited until I was fit to be used. The truth is, He didn’t wait until I had it all together; He didn’t wait until I had fully bloomed. The Lord simply waited until I made the choice to rise out of the ground and into His light.
The bouquet God builds isn’t one of static fixtures; it’s a symphony of souls from all walks of life. He doesn’t wait until we’re in full bloom to use us; He waits until we desire to be used.
So the next time you decide to build a bouquet, look closely at the bud. The bud, like the bloom, has a story to tell. It reminds us that growth isn’t a prerequisite for God’s love but a result of it. The beauty of the bouquet isn’t just in the blooms that have opened but in the promise of everything still waiting to unfold.

“Building Bouquets” is inspired by a bouquet of pink roses made from 789 Lego pieces. The bouquet, just like God’s kingdom contains flowers from all different stages, reminding us that God can use us exactly where we are to build something beautiful. This piece is in an 8×10” silver Victorian frame, matted to 7×9”. We decided to keep this one to commemorate our Lego creation, but it will be made to order in my Etsy Shoppe with your choice of floral coloring, silver or gold frame.

To build a bouquet
is a gift indeed.
The Spirit reminds us
what we need.
.
A blossom, a bloom,
and even a bud—
whatever has chosen
to rise from the mud.
.
See a bouquet isn’t just
a finished thing.
It’s a reminder of what
God will bring.
.
Every flower will soon
tell its story.
The beauty of the bouquet
will proclaim His glory.
