Sometimes it’s the small miracles that remind us of all the beauty that surrounds us; sometimes it’s the small miracles that create the most abundant gratitude for God’s goodness—new growth on my dormant rosebush that has struggled to bloom since the move, the golden butterfly that flew by at the exact moment I was trying to capture the autumn leaves falling in our backyard, or even the beautiful spider web that seemed to have formed overnight.

The sun’s rays highlighted an intricately woven masterpiece right before my eyes. As I observed the creation of what I’m sure was a very proud spider, I was instantly reminded of a verse in Scripture that reminds us we too are small miracles.
For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:13-14)
God knitted us together, intricately and intentionally so we could be highlighted by the Son and used for His purposes. I can’t think of anything more beautiful than that.
